Halloween is one of the most anticipated holidays every year. Candy, costumes, and cobwebs run the streets in an effort to revel in the spooky festivities that come with the holiday. Parents and children alike decorate their homes, their vehicles, and some go as far as to spookify their pets – but what for? In this post, we will share a brief history of Halloween, share Halloween decorations for garage doors that caught our eyes, and give some general recommendations to ensure safety during the holidays.

A Brief History of Halloween

In essence, Halloween is a holiday that people would participate in to celebrate the fall harvest and to ward off evil spirits. Today, we carry on those traditions with jack o lantern carving, trick or treating, and wearing spooky costumes. Check out this article for more information on Halloween:

General Recommendations

As a garage door company, we uphold the responsibility of ensuring that our customers are safe, even on holidays. Here’s a broad list of safety recommendations, from our team, to your home:

  • Make sure to use proper safety equipment when setting up or tearing down decorations. Doing so can prevent injuries and damage to your garage door.
  • DO NOT play around or inside of your garage door.
  • If you have any hanging decorations, hang them up on the non-moving components of your garage door.
  • Make sure that your garage door is properly illuminated to avoid injury.

And as always, contact us for all of your garage door needs!
